The Third Sunday after Trinity often reminds us that God’s love is both patient and persistent. In the Gospel readings for this time, we often see Jesus reaching out to those who feel lost, burdened, or unworthy — not with condemnation, but with compassion.

It’s a gentle nudge to remember that faith is not about having everything figured out, but about trusting the One who calms storms, restores dignity, and seeks us when we wander. Just as a shepherd goes after the one missing sheep, God’s heart is always turned toward those who feel furthest away.

This week, perhaps we can carry that same spirit into our own lives — noticing who might be feeling adrift, offering a word of kindness, or simply being present. In doing so, we reflect the patient, pursuing love of God that never gives up on anyone.

“The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and of great kindness.” (Psalm 145:8)
