Advance notice – Rev’d Dean’s licensing as our new Priest in Charge of the Alfred Jewel Benefice will take place on
Monday 24th February at 7pm in St Mary the Virgin Church. You will need to be seated at least 15 mins before the service starts.
This is a formal service conducted by the Right Reverend Dr Michael Beasley, Bishop of Bath and Wells and the Venerable Simon Hill Archdeacon of Taunton.
Seating will be limited as we will have many extra invited guests from Wells and the clergy in the Deanery who will have reserved seats. Plus, from each of our six churches and representatives of the Community. The wardens and PCC members and Rev’d Deans family and guests.
If you intend coming to the service, please would you let your church wardens know by next week 9th Feb.
A message from Rev Dean to our benefice – Rachael and myself are very much looking forward to returning to a place where we started our married life together, having been married in St Marys North Petherton in 1991.
I am personally excited and looking towards serving the benefice and to what we can all do together to build the Kingdom of God in their communities.
